How do military discounts on flights work?

My boyfriend is flying me to see him in March. He is in the military. Can he use his military discount to buy me a ticket or can he only use it for himself? I am not sure how this works. What travel sites take military discounts?

    It depends on the airline. I would say if he is paying for it, then the discount likely applies, if such a discount is even being offered.

    Unfortunately he will not be able to pass along his military discount to you. You can find other military discounts to use here: http://www.MilitaryAvenue.com/RewardFinder.aspx Most of the discounts are local discounts and seem to be rather good
